The monsoon season has unleashed widespread chaos across North India, bringing heavy rains, floods, and landslides. In Uttarakhand’s Haridwar district, a cloudburst in the hills pushed the Ganga river’s water level dangerously close to the danger mark. Disturbing visuals from the region show the swollen Ganga roaring with destructive force, creating fear among residents and authorities alike.In Mumbai, torrential rains once again threw life out of gear. Continuous downpours since morning caused massive waterlogging in areas like Santacruz and Dadar. Vehicles were seen crawling through long traffic jams, leaving commuters stranded for hours. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert after predicting intense rainfall and a 13-foot-high tide warning. Offices and daily travel have been badly disrupted, with several buses and cars stuck on waterlogged roads.Meanwhile, Bihar is also facing severe challenges. Heavy rains in Patna, Vaishali, and several districts have triggered flood concerns as the Ganga river swells near the danger level. Low-lying areas are already submerged, crops are damaged, and villagers are struggling to cope. The Meteorological Center in Patna has issued a yellow alert for Monday and Tuesday, warning of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and winds up to 40 kmph. Authorities remain on high alert as the situation continues to worsen.
