Breaking News: LVM3 Successfully Launches Commercial Communication Satellite from Sriharikota

India achieved another major milestone in its space journey as the LVM3 rocket successfully lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The launch took place under clear skies, offering a spectacular visual as the powerful launch vehicle pierced through the atmosphere with precision and stability. Both S200 solid rocket boosters ignited flawlessly at liftoff, each generating a massive thrust of 5,952 kilonewtons, powering the mission during its initial critical phase. According to mission officials, the S200 motors have a burn duration of 132.5 seconds, ensuring a smooth ascent. Within seconds of launch, the vehicle transitioned into main auto mode, confirming nominal performance of onboard systems. At approximately 111 seconds into the flight, confirmation was received that the second stage ignition had commenced successfully, marking a crucial phase of the mission. The LVM3 rocket is carrying a commercial communication satellite developed to enhance space-based mobile and communication services. The mission has been executed on behalf of Antrix, ISRO’s commercial arm, further strengthening India’s presence in the global space market. Spectators at the launch site witnessed a thrilling moment as the rocket remained visible for a considerable distance, with the possibility of observing stage separation. The successful launch reaffirms India’s growing capabilities in heavy-lift launch systems and commercial space services.
