A horrifying murder case has emerged from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, where a 24-year-old MBA student was allegedly killed by her classmate and boyfriend. The accused, identified as Piyush Dhanotiya, has been arrested after police uncovered disturbing details surrounding the crime. According to investigators, the accused and the victim studied at the same institute and had been in a relationship for a long time. However, tensions grew as the accused wanted to marry her, while the woman reportedly wished to end the relationship. Family opposition to the marriage further escalated the conflict. On February 10, the victim left home with her father, saying she was going to get her Aadhaar card corrected, but never returned. CCTV footage later showed her entering the accused’s flat around 3:25 PM. After a dispute over marriage and suspicions that she was in contact with another man, the accused allegedly strangled her to death. Police claim he was intoxicated at the time and later stabbed the body again. Shockingly, he allegedly performed occult rituals in an attempt to “contact her soul,” searching online for ways to communicate with spirits. After the crime, he fled to Mumbai and Panvel, hiding in hotels and traveling by local trains. The body was discovered on February 13 from his room. He was arrested on February 14 and produced in court on February 15, where he was remanded to police custody for three days. The case has deeply shocked the city, revealing a disturbing mix of jealousy, obsession, and superstition.
