Breaking News: Five Pilgrims Burn Alive After Moving Car Catches Fire on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

In a tragic incident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, five people lost their lives after a moving car suddenly caught fire near Maujpur in Alwar district. According to preliminary information, the victims were residents of Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh and were returning from a pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi when the accident occurred. Eyewitnesses reported that the fire broke out suddenly while the vehicle was in motion, giving the passengers little to no time to escape. Within moments, the car was completely engulfed in flames, trapping all occupants inside. Despite attempts by passersby to assist and alert emergency services, the intensity of the fire made rescue efforts extremely difficult. Police and fire department teams arrived at the scene shortly after receiving information about the incident. However, by the time the fire was brought under control, all five passengers had already succumbed to the blaze. Authorities are currently working to identify the exact cause of the fire, with initial suspicions pointing toward a possible mechanical failure or fuel-related issue. Forensic teams have been deployed, and an investigation is underway. Officials are also in the process of notifying the victims’ families. This devastating accident highlights ongoing concerns about vehicle safety and emergency response readiness on high-speed expressways. Authorities may review safety protocols to prevent such incidents in the future.
