Breaking news: Droupadi Murmu to Fly in Indigenous Tejas Jet in Rajasthan

A major update has emerged from Rajasthan, where President Droupadi Murmu has arrived in Jaisalmer. She is set to fly for the first time in the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas. The President will be the Chief Guest at the Indian Air Force’s mega combat exercise, Vayu Shakti 2026, a major demonstration of the IAF’s fighter capabilities. After previously flying in Sukhoi and Rafale aircraft, President Murmu will now take to the skies in the indigenously developed HAL Tejas fighter jet. Indian Air Force Chief A. P. Singh will also be seen flying in another Tejas aircraft during the event. Both aircraft will be twin-seater variants, with trained pilots onboard. The event highlights India’s growing self-reliance in defense manufacturing and showcases the operational strength of the Indian Air Force. President Murmu’s participation adds significant importance to the occasion.
