In Bihar’s Araria, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a gathering, emphasizing the government’s commitment to both national security and citizen welfare. Shah highlighted the government’s initiatives under the Vibrant Village programs, aimed at improving rural infrastructure and living standards in border areas. He detailed schemes like CAPF border housing, the housing web portal, and scholarships for students, alongside welfare measures for armed forces personnel and their families. The minister also reaffirmed the government’s promise to rid Seemanchal of illegal immigrants, stressing that this effort goes beyond merely updating voter lists. “We are determined to identify and remove every illegal immigrant from Indian soil,” he said, framing it as a continuation of the Narendra Modi government’s national security agenda. Shah reminded the public that during the elections, he personally spent several days in Seemanchal, promising active action against illegal entrants affecting local resources, including ration distribution. He called for the cooperation of the local populace to ensure the program’s success. The speech combined welfare initiatives and security measures, presenting the government’s dual approach to rural development and border management in Bihar.
