Breaking: Maharashtra Tussle Over Language, London Stabbings, Pune River Tragedy And Crime Spike Now

Tensions rose across multiple regions as political and law-and-order incidents unfolded. In Mumbai, ahead of municipal elections, MNS activists staged a protest at Andheri Metro over language and advertising, alleging bias toward Hindi-only billboards and vandalising station signage. In London’s Regent’s Park area, a violent knife attack erupted outside a mosque, leaving several injured and causing widespread alarm as onlookers failed to intervene. In Pune, a speeding vehicle plunged into the Bhima River, prompting a prolonged rescue where one occupant tragically died and authorities are investigating circumstances and vehicle ownership. Uttar Pradesh witnessed a brazen petrol-pump raid captured on CCTV, with attackers assaulting staff and looting cash while some victims narrowly escaped. Rural officials reported an attack on a digital crop-survey team, forcing one member to jump into a pond to survive. Police conduct and preparedness also came under scrutiny after a riot-control drill exposed tactical divisions among officers during crowd simulations. Meanwhile, anti-narcotics teams arrested suspects in Madhya Pradesh, seizing hundreds of illicit cough-syrup bottles, and food-safety raids in Gorakhpur uncovered chemically coloured potatoes posing health risks. Investigations continue on multiple fronts as authorities race to restore public safety and hold perpetrators to account. More arrests may follow soon.
