A major accident occurred in Mandiyala village, Hoshiarpur, Punjab, when an LPG tanker collided with a pickup vehicle and overturned, triggering a massive explosion and fire. The blast occurred near a Hindustan Petroleum LPG bottling plant on the Hoshiarpur-Jalandhar road. The fire quickly spread, engulfing over 10 nearby homes and damaging several vehicles. At least one person has died, and more than 20 others have sustained burn injuries, some critically. Emergency teams, including fire brigades from nearby towns, rushed to control the flames.
