Breaking: Heavy Rain Triggers Flood-Like Situation In Gujarat, Red And Orange Alerts Issued

Heavy rains have once again disrupted normal life in Gujarat, with several districts witnessing flood-like situations. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert in Dwarka, while orange alerts have been declared in multiple districts including Kutch, Banaskantha, Patan, Morbi, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Rajkot, Junagadh, Surat, Navsari, and Valsad. In Navsari district alone, more than six inches of rainfall have been recorded within hours, resulting in waterlogging and the closure of nearly 80 roads. Local authorities are on high alert, with teams deployed to monitor vulnerable areas. In Banaskantha, the situation turned critical after the embankment of the Ojhat river collapsed, raising concerns of rising water levels and further flooding.Visuals from Dwarka, Junagadh, and Gandhinagar highlight the severity of the situation, with entire stretches of land submerged under water. Officials have urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel, while rescue and relief operations are underway in the worst-hit regions. The continuous downpour has also disrupted connectivity and triggered fear among residents in low-lying areas. Authorities are closely monitoring the rainfall patterns and have advised people to stay alert as the situation may worsen
