Breaking: Bihar Swearing-In Ceremony Begins as NDA Forms New Government in Historic Power Shift

The swearing-in ceremony has officially begun at Lok Bhavan in Bihar, marking a significant political transition as the new National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government takes shape under Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. The ceremony commenced with the arrival of the Governor and the national anthem, formally setting the stage for the formation of the new cabinet. The event signals a major realignment in Bihar’s political structure, with the Bharatiya Janata Party emerging in a dominant position within the coalition, alongside the Janata Dal (United). Senior leaders from across the NDA alliance are present as the oath-taking process proceeds. According to emerging details, key constitutional posts are being carefully distributed as part of the power-sharing arrangement. The Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly is expected to remain with the BJP, while the Legislative Council Chairperson role may be assigned to JD(U), reflecting a negotiated institutional balance within the alliance. The Home Department is also likely to remain under BJP control, reinforcing its strong administrative influence in the new government structure. Meanwhile, discussions are ongoing regarding other key portfolios, including the Finance Ministry, where senior leader Vijay Kumar Choudhary is being considered based on his administrative experience. Allied partners including Chirag Paswan, Upendra Kushwaha, and Jitan Ram Manjhi are also expected to receive representation in the cabinet expansion. As the ceremony continues, Bihar enters a new phase of governance, with attention now shifting to portfolio allocation and policy priorities of the newly formed government.
