Mumbai witnessed a major security scare after unidentified attackers allegedly opened fire outside the Juhu residence of noted Bollywood filmmaker and producer Rohit Shetty. According to preliminary information, five rounds were fired at the exterior area of the building late at night, following which the assailants fled the scene. No injuries have been reported so far, and Rohit Shetty and his family are stated to be safe. Soon after the incident, Maharashtra Police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area, while additional security was deployed around the residence. The Crime Branch has also joined the investigation and is probing the case from multiple angles. Forensic teams are examining bullet marks and collecting evidence, while nearby CCTV footage is being scanned to identify the attackers and track their movements. Police are also investigating whether the filmmaker had received any prior threats and if the incident is linked to earlier firing cases involving high-profile personalities.
