Breaking: 11 Naxalites surrender before Gadchiroli Police, carried Rs 89 lakh reward

A significant development has emerged from Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, where 11 hardcore Naxalites surrendered before the Gadchiroli Police. Among those detained is Vikas Nagpure, who, along with the group, chose to give up arms after being on the police radar for a long time. Officials confirmed that a substantial cache of weapons was recovered from the surrendered Naxalites. The group carried a collective reward of ₹89 lakh announced on their arrest, highlighting their long-standing involvement in extremist activities. The Maharashtra Police described the surrender, which took place on Saturday, as a major success in their ongoing anti-Naxal operations.
