A major political development is unfolding in Maharashtra ahead of the BMC elections. Shiv Sena (UBT), MNS are set to announce their alliance today. Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray will address a joint press conference at 12 noon, officially declaring the tie-up. As per sources, Shiv Sena (UBT) may contest 145–150 seats, MNS 65–70 seats, while NCP is likely to get 10–12 seats in the BMC polls. Meanwhile, the Mahayuti camp has also almost finalised its seat-sharing formula. A late-night meeting between CM Eknath Shinde and BJP state president Ravindra Chavan lasted till 4 am at Shinde’s Thane residence. An official announcement is expected soon.
