Voting is underway today across 121 constituencies in 18 districts of Bihar, including the key Chapra seat where Bhojpuri star and RJD candidate Khesari Lal Yadav is contesting. In an exclusive conversation with our correspondent Ganesh Thakur, Khesari emphasized that the election should be centered on the development of Bihar and the future of the next generation. He urged that discussions move away from personal or political disputes and instead focus on what the government has delivered and what remains to be done for the people. Highlighting the struggles of government employees, Khesari pointed out that many have not received pensions since 2004. He questioned how they will secure their children’s future after retirement. He also raised concerns about frequent postings far from home, saying that if employees were stationed within 60 km of their families, they would be able to contribute better to their children’s upbringing and education. Referring to a recent notice served to him ahead of polling day, Khesari said he has built his house with hard work and remains confident that justice will prevail. He expressed pride in studying up to Class 8 in the same school where voters gathered, and said he believes his actions will speak for themselves.
