The opposition Mahagathbandhan alliance in Bihar is expected to announce its seat-sharing plan and release a joint manifesto this week. According to reports, talks between the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress are ongoing, with top leaders scheduled to meet on Monday. RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav confirmed that discussions are underway, stating, “There is a meeting of the alliance. Talks are on.” However, his son and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav refrained from giving details, mentioning that their current visit to Delhi is related to the court hearing on the land-for-jobs scam. The alliance aims to finalise strategies ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.
