In Bihar’s Bhojpur district, a shocking double murder has intensified concerns over law and order just days before the first phase of Assembly elections. A father and son, who ran a sweets shop, were found shot dead near Belghat village. The victims had reportedly gone shopping for an engagement ceremony when their bodies were discovered around 20 kilometers from home. The motive and identity of the killers remain unknown. This incident follows two other recent murders of an ASI in Siwan and Jan Suraj supporter Dularchand Yadav in Mokama raising serious questions about security during the election season. As Bihar witnesses a series of violent crimes, political parties have reignited the debate between “Jungle Raj” and “Sushasan.”
