The Education Minister addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding NEET and alleged paper leak incidents, stating that the government is focused on safeguarding students’ futures rather than engaging in political debate. He confirmed that investigations, including a CBI probe, are underway to identify those responsible. The minister acknowledged structural and cybersecurity challenges within the examination system, calling them a serious concern. He emphasized that strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty, regardless of position or influence. While responding to questions about NTA’s performance and repeated irregularities, the minister said the issue is not about changing the agency but about improving the entire examination process and strengthening security systems. He further noted that reforms are being considered, including improved digital systems and tighter monitoring to prevent future malpractice, stressing that the priority remains ensuring fair and transparent examinations for lakhs of students.
