Akhilesh Attack: SP Chief Questions Government Over NEET Row and Public Issues

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav criticized the government over issues including the NEET controversy and accused it of ignoring the concerns of students and protestors. He questioned the government’s accountability and asked whether such governance reflects the idea of “Amrit Kaal.” Yadav said that the voices of children and young people should be heard, especially amid allegations of irregularities in the NEET examination process. He also expressed support for ongoing protest movements and alleged that demonstrators had earlier faced pressure and action from the authorities. Meanwhile, the government appealed to opposition parties to allow smooth functioning of Parliament, stating that bills were ready and scheduled for discussion. The government warned that repeated disruptions could lead to loss of parliamentary time and adjournments. The opposition, however, maintained that it wants discussions on public issues and claimed that the government lacks preparation on matters concerning citizens’ interests.
