‘Zero mention of Islamic terrorism’: Laura Loomer slams Zohran Mamdani over DC shooting, calls him ‘NYC’s jihadist mayor’

A deadly shooting in Washington claimed the life of a young National Guard soldier at the hands of an Afghani gunman who is now being investigated for possible links to terrorism, and the incident also stirred a row online.New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani posted a message of condolence on X after learning that Specialist Sarah Beckstrom had died from her injuries: “I’m devastated to learn of the passing of Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, a member of the West Virginia National Guard. She was only twenty years old.” However, right-wing commentator Laura Loomer called out Mamdani for his silence on Islamic terror. She replied: “Zero mention of Islamic terrorism from NYC’s Islamic jihadist mayor, “Idk why Muslims even bother commenting on tragedies unless they plan on condemning the act of Islamic terror.” Loomer accused socialist Democrat Mamdani of selectively addressing certain issues and being disconnected from “blood and soil Americans.” She said, “Zohran Mamdani’s comments are very antagonistic to actual blood and soil Americans. Which Mamdani will never be.”The MAGA activist’s jibes came after two National Guards; Beckstrom, 20, and Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, 24, were shot at close range near White House on Wednesday. US President Donald Trump announced on Thanksgiving that Beckstrom had died. Wolfe remains in critical condition. Police arrested 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an Afghan national who arrived in US in 2021 under Operation Allies Welcome. This program offered protection and refuge to Afghans who had assisted the United States during the war against the Taliban. The Trump administration said immigration processing for Afghans would be suspended, and green card approvals from 19 countries would be reviewed. Trump also vowed to “permanently pause migration” from all “third world countries,” without specifying which ones.Meanwhilem this is not the first time Loomer has attacked Mamdani. She has previously called him out and even compared his election win to the coming of “another 9/11.” She has consistently referred to the Indian-Ugandan mayor-elect as a jihadist, even after Trump denied calling Mamdani a jihadist in a recent meeting where the POTUS said the socialist Democrat is a great guy.
