Candace Owens has hit back at Ben Shapiro after he accused her of saying that Erika Kirk, wife of the late Charlie Kirk, was behind her husband’s death. Owens, a former Turning Point USA member, called Shapiro a liar and said he made up false claims about her on The Megyn Kelly Show. “He said that I accused Erika Kirk of murdering Charlie Kirk. This quite literally is made up out of thin air,” Owens wrote on X. She said she was waiting for his response on her show.Erika Kirk, who is now the CEO of Turning Point USA, recently spoke on Fox News with Jesse Watters and asked people to show “grace” and think before posting online. She said that what people share can affect her children and that “some grace would be nice.” Erika Kirk was speaking days after her husband Charlie Kirk’s shocking death during an event in Utah.

Candace Owens wrote several posts on X after Ben Shapiro appeared on The Megyn Kelly Show. She said Shapiro “lied through his teeth” and tried to turn people against her. She also agreed with a fan who said that Shapiro often “smears and misrepresents” others. Candace Owens wrote, “That is beyond smearing. He tried to pressure Megyn Kelly to make a statement about me by lying through his teeth and EXPLICITLY stating that I accused Erika Kirk of killing her husband.” She called Shapiro “completely deranged” and said he twisted her words for attention.On The Megyn Kelly Show, Shapiro said, “What Candace Owens is doing right now is evil.” He told Kelly that if someone on the political left accused Charlie Kirk’s wife of killing him, she would be talking about it.
