Who is Manpreet Singh? Indian-origin man identified as suspect in deadly 2025 Brampton home invasion

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a 29-year-old man in connection with a deadly home invasion in Brampton that left one person dead last year.Peel Regional Police say Indian-origin Manpreet Singh, who has no fixed address, is wanted for first-degree murder and attempted murder with a firearm following a shooting on August 19, 2025. Officers have warned that he may be armed and dangerous.According to investigators, two suspects allegedly entered a home on Bayhampton Drive, near Castlemore Road and Humberwest Parkway, and opened fire on two people inside. One man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds and later released.Police had earlier arrested a first suspect in the case. In October, 24-year-old Dilpreet Singh of Brampton was charged with first-degree murder in relation to the same incident.Investigators have now identified Manpreet Singh as the second suspect and obtained a Canada-wide arrest warrant. He is described as five feet 10 inches tall with a medium build, straight black hair, brown eyes and a full beard. Police say he has a tattoo on his right forearm that reads “Manna Sukh” with a heart symbol between the two words.Authorities have urged the public not to approach him if spotted: “Police say Singh may be armed and dangerous. If seen, call 911 immediately.”
