Kai Cenat has been out of the spotlight ever since he wrapped up the epic third chapter of his wildly successful Mafiathon series. The subathon featured many A-list celebrity guests, including Mariah Carey, Ice Spice, and Kim Kardashian, among others. Since then, the Twitch megastar seems to be embracing a much slower pace with his life. Cenat, who has set the record for the first streamer to hit 20 million followers on Twitch, has largely gone quiet online since Mafiathon 3 ended on September 30, 2025. Since then, he has been seen enjoying a wonderful Swiss vacation with girlfriend Gabrielle Alayah, and was also seen recently at Playboi Carti’s tour, while fans are curious about his return to streaming.
Kai Cenat’s quiet hiatus, the community’s impatience, and his brother’s candid insight
The most solid hint of Cenat’s providing an update on his comeback was through his KAI MAFIA X community in early November, where he wrote, “Ok comm is closed I’ll open gates in like 2026 bye guys.” The Twitch star seems to be focusing more on his personal life and spending time with his loved ones at the moment; however, his community has mixed opinions about it.Many of his fans are missing Cenat in action and desperately want him back online. They want more out of him and can’t get enough of his entertaining antics shown on his subathons. But not everyone is taking the silence lightly, as others assume that Cenat has ghosted his fans by not giving any updates regarding his return. His brother, fellow streamer Kaleel, recently revealed that Cenat’s month-long subathon had a toll on him, which affected his normal life. Kaleel said, to feel normal off-stream. “He feels weird, he feels different, he feels like he’s supposed to be in front of the camera… that’s him now, gang… He changed,” He also praised Kai’s evolution, calling him “a machine of inspiration.” Despite his hiatus, Cenat continues to cast a long shadow over the industry. He recently secured a nomination for Streamer of the Year at the upcoming 2025 Streamer Awards on December 6.Also read: Kai Cenat becomes first streamer ever to hit 20 million followers on Twitch Go to Source
