Charleston White says he was shot at while visiting Houston, Texas, after reports about the incident started circulating on July 21, 2026. Early posts on X claimed the comedian and internet personality had been targeted in the city’s Fifth Ward neighborhood. Charleston White says people wanted him to apologize before shots were fired
One of the first accounts of the incident came from X user @SaycheeseDGTL, who claimed White had been spending around three hours in Houston’s Fifth Ward before a group approached him. According to the post, the men asked him to apologize for things he had previously said. It also stated that shots were fired but that White escaped without injuries. Later that day, White addressed the situation himself in a YouTube livestream titled “Charleston White Shot At By Rap-A lot Mobties In Houston at Dr. Candice Matthew B-Day Celebration.”In the video, the 49-year-old claimed he had gone to the neighborhood by himself and said around 30 people eventually gathered at the location.While describing the encounter, White said:
- “Not only did they shoot at the car… all they wanted to do was plead with me. To apologize to J Prince.”
He then went on to make several explicit remarks directed at J Prince, alleging that those involved had an opportunity to harm him but did not.
White says he plans to report the incident to the FBI
The livestream didn’t stop at describing what happened. White also said he intends to take the matter to federal authorities.Calling himself “the baddest person on the internet,”he claimed he would visit the FBI office the following morning to officially document the incident.
