‘We don’t cater inbreds’: Indian-origin owner of London eatery triggers row after shutting business, warns Sadiq Khan

London-Based Indian Eatery Shuts Down After Owner Blames Pakistani Threats And Diaspora Tensions

The announcement that 16-year-old Rangrez, an Indian restaurant in London, will be shut down was just the beginning as Indian-origin owner Harman Singh Kapoor triggered a massive row over his attack on Muslims. One of the reasons for shutting down his restaurant was threats by Pakistanis, he disclosed earlier and blamed the police for their lack of support. Subsequently, Kapoor disclosed that Muslims targeted his restaurant because, from day one, he chose not to sell halal meat, and for that reason, Pakistanis gave bad reviews. Kapoor said he does not care that his business failed, as he chose to close his restaurant and will now pursue activism full-time.

“Sadiq Khan, we are coming for you,” Kapoor and his wife said in a video, threatening London mayor and blaming him for the Pakistani takeover of London. Calling Muslims inbreds, Singh Kapoor wrote in another post: “Proudly we don’t sell Halal. We don’t cater inbreds.””Proudly, I don’t sell halal, and because of this many individuals from the inbred community are unhappy and posting fake reviews. Rangrez restaurant will not cater to inbreds at the cost of tortured animals. Inbreds are not my customers,” he wrote in another post calling for the banning of halal in the UK.

Who is Harman Singh Kapoor?

Harman Singh Kapoor is known as a Sikh activist who spoke out against Khalistani extremism. In 2023, he said his car was fired at and vandalised after he criticised the Khalistan movement. Of late, he and his wife have become vocal against Muslims. Before announcing the closure of their restaurant, Kapoor and his wife made a video alerting parents about ‘Love Jihad’ in the UK, Australia. “Many girls are being brainwashed by Pakistani and Bangladeshi boys and are no longer in contact with their parents.I’m investigating many cases and it’s shocking,” Kapoor wrote in the post. Many social media users commented that Kapoor had been planning a political plunge with Tommy Robinson and despite being an immigrant himself, he latched onto the anti-immigrant rhetoric. They claimed that despite being from India, he claimed asylum in the UK as an Afghan Sikh refugee.
