Cody Shane Detwiler, known everywhere as Cody “WhistlinDiesel,” became the focus of a huge online buzz on November 13, 2025. The automotive YouTuber was reportedly arrested for tax evasion in Williamson County, Tennessee. This news first came from Reddit user 1Rab, who shared screenshots that looked like custody records. These screenshots showed that Cody Shane Detwiler was arrested on November 12, 2025, at 12:30 PM CST, with a very high bond set at $2,000,000.The screenshots also listed his age as 27, his height as 6 feet, and his eye color as green. They said he was booked and released on the same day, with a release time of 3:06 PM CST. His custody status was marked “out of custody,” and the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department was listed as the reporting agency. As soon as this information reached Reddit, users reacted fast, asking what led to the arrest and why the bond was so high.

A few hours after the screenshots began spreading, Cody “WhistlinDiesel” Detwiler confirmed the reports through an Instagram post on November 13, 2025. He wrote that the situation was “100% real” and added, “Won so big they thought I was cheating. (100% real not AI).” He did not share more details about the tax charges but made it clear that the arrest did happen. His followers and Reddit users continued reacting. User Sauwercraud said, “Coffeezilla is gonna have a good day.” Another user named TringleBus wrote, “I am not surprised.
