The popular American streamer was traveling in Senegal when one of his bodyguards almost got hit by a moving truck. IShowSpeed’s bodyguards face close call in Senegal during Africa tour

The scary incident happened in Senegal on January 20, 2026. After the AFCON final, IShowSpeed was exploring the country while livestreaming. For safety, he was joined by local security guards along with his regular bodyguards, Rudiger and Henry.At one point, Speed sat on the roof of a black SUV. Local guards held onto the sides of the moving vehicle to protect him. The road became narrow, with cars on both sides. The SUV moved too close to a pickup truck, and one guard made contact.A clip shared on Reddit’s r/LivestreamFail by user u/Malik-_- was titled, “IShowSpeed’s Bodyguards Almost Get Crushed by a Car.” The video quickly went viral.In the clip, the guard tried to jump onto the truck but slipped and fell onto the road. Speed reacted right away and shouted, “Are you all right? Are you all right?”The guard stood up quickly and returned to his position. Other guards told the driver to keep moving. Speed looked confused and said, “What do you mean, ‘go’? Are you all right? Calm down.”The guards answered back, saying, “No problem.” The livestream continued, and no injuries were reported.Just one day later, on January 21, 2026, IShowSpeed reached 50 million YouTube subscribers while stuck in traffic in Nigeria. Standing on his SUV, he said, “50 million. I worked so hard for this.”Fans cheered loudly as he cut a cake. According to YouTube data, Speed has gained nearly 3 million subscribers since December 29, 2025. His livestreams now pull over 100,000 live viewers, with millions more watching later.Earlier in the tour, IshowSpeed also faced trouble in Algeria, where water bottles were thrown at him inside a football stadium.
