Salik has updated toll charges for participants in the Dubai Ride, coinciding with the city-wide Dubai Fitness Challenge 2025. The changes aim to manage traffic efficiently during the event and improve the overall road experience for all commuters.

Toll rate updates for Dubai Ride

For Sunday, 2 November, Salik has set revised toll fees specifically for the Dubai Ride, which forms part of the month-long Dubai Fitness Challenge running from 1 to 30 November 2025. The rates have been structured according to peak and low-peak hours:

  • Peak hours:
    • 6:00am to 10:00am – Dh6
    • 4:00pm to 8:00pm – Dh4
  • Low-peak hours:
    • 10:00am to 4:00pm – Dh4
    • 8:00pm to 1:00am – Dh4

Salik emphasised that this move is part of its continued efforts to maintain smooth traffic flow during major community events. According to their statement on X, the updated tolls also contribute to enhancing the “smart mobility experience” for all road users.

Dubai Ride 2025: Event details

The sixth edition of the Dubai Ride will see thousands of cyclists gathering on Sheikh Zayed Road. The ride is scheduled to start at 6:15am on Sunday, providing a central highlight of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. The event encourages residents and visitors to engage in physical activity while enjoying a safe, well-managed city road network.

Salik’s role in community mobility

Salik’s revised tolls demonstrate its proactive role in balancing event participation with traffic management. By differentiating peak and low-peak charges, the authority aims to reduce congestion during critical periods while ensuring the Dubai Ride proceeds without major disruption. This initiative aligns with broader smart mobility and urban planning strategies in Dubai, designed to integrate technology, efficiency, and user experience on city roads.
