In a major step to strengthen healthcare in the Gaza Strip, the UAE has inaugurated the Emirates Medical Centre in Khan Younis, aiming to deliver urgent medical care and comprehensive health support to those in need. The move underscores the UAE’s ongoing commitment to easing suffering and reinforcing the region’s medical infrastructure. The Emirates Medical Centre, part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, brings together several specialised departments, offering a wide range of medical services. From primary healthcare to emergency care, the facility is equipped to treat both patients and the injured, addressing critical healthcare needs across the territory.Ali Al Shihi, Head of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, highlighted that the opening of the centre reflects the UAE’s continued efforts to support the health sector in Gaza. He emphasized that the initiative reaffirms the country’s dedication to assisting the Strip in all humanitarian matters. This centre is not an isolated effort. It forms a crucial part of the UAE’s broader medical support in the region, which includes deploying medical convoys, providing ambulances, medicines, and essential medical supplies. The initiative builds upon the UAE Field Hospital’s ongoing work, which has been instrumental in relieving pressure on local medical facilities and improving care for patients and the wounded.By establishing the Emirates Medical Centre, the UAE aims to strengthen Gaza’s healthcare system, ensure faster medical response for emergencies, and offer comprehensive care that meets both everyday and critical needs. The new facility represents a sustained commitment to humanitarian support and the well being of the population in the Strip.
