UAE: K-pop icons Chung Ha and SHINee Onew to perform free Dubai concert next month

K-pop enthusiasts in the UAE are in for a treat! South Korean solo stars Chung Ha and SHINee’s Onew will perform a free, one-night-only concert at Dubai Festival City Mall on January 3, 2026, as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival. Fans can anticipate captivating performances from these celebrated artists at the iconic Festival Bay.

K-pop fans in the UAE have a massive reason to celebrate as two of South Korea’s biggest solo stars prepare to light up the stage in Dubai. As part of the 31st season of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), superstars Chung Ha and SHINee’s Onew will perform a one-night-only concert at Dubai Festival City Mall. The event is scheduled for Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the iconic Festival Bay waterfront. Best of all, the performance is part of the “e& DSF Nights” series, meaning it is completely free for the public to attend.

K-Pop Royalty Chung Ha and Onew

The lineup brings together two distinct and powerful voices from the Korean music industry. Chung Ha, originally known for her time with the girl group I.O.I, has become a solo powerhouse with over 80 million Spotify streams for hits like “Gotta Go,” “Snapping,” and “Roller Coaster.” She arrives in Dubai fresh off the release of her latest mini-album, Alivio.Joining her is Onew, the legendary leader and main vocalist of the boy band SHINee. Since launching his solo career in 2022, he has captivated audiences with tracks like “O (Circle)” and “Beat Drum.” Fans can look forward to hearing new material from his second solo album, Percent, which was a major success in 2025. This concert represents a rare opportunity for fans to see both artists perform their full solo sets outside of South Korea.

Timings for K-pop fans

The concert is set to begin at 8:30 PM, transforming Festival Bay into a high-energy music hub. Because the event is free and open to all ages, organizers expect a significant turnout. To secure the best view of the stage, fans are strongly encouraged to arrive at Dubai Festival City Mall early in the afternoon. The performance will be set against the backdrop of the “IMAGINE” water and light show, adding a stunning visual element to the choreography and vocals. For those driving to the venue, mall parking is available, but public transport is recommended due to the expected crowds.

Dubai shopping festival 2026

This K-pop spectacular is just one highlight of the wider Dubai Shopping Festival, which runs from December 5, 2025, to January 11, 2026. The “e& DSF Nights” series at Festival Bay is packed with other major performances, including Arab popstar Ruby on December 27 and a joint show by Dalia and Mahmoud Al Turki on January 10.Visitors to the mall can also enjoy nightly fireworks at 8:30 PM and family-friendly stage shows featuring characters from Trolls, Dora the Explorer, and Masha and The Bear. Whether you are there for the music or the shopping deals, Festival City is the place to be this winter. Go to Source
