Salik Company PJSC, Dubai’s exclusive toll gate operator, has officially joined the International Bridge, Tunnel & Turnpike Association (IBTTA), the premier global organisation for toll road systems. This membership marks a significant step in Salik’s ongoing mission to adopt global best practices, expand international cooperation, and position Dubai as a world leader in innovative and sustainable urban mobility.

Salik’s inclusion in IBTTA was formally announced during the Global Tolling Summit held in Lyon, France—a gathering that brought together government officials, industry leaders, and top global companies involved in roads and tolling infrastructure. The summit served as a platform to showcase Salik’s commitment to embracing the latest developments in tolling management and intelligent mobility systems.IBTTA, headquartered in Washington, D.C., is the world’s foremost organisation uniting toll road operators, government agencies, and transport infrastructure experts from around the globe. Founded in 1932, the association promotes innovation, sustainable development, and the sharing of knowledge related to bridges, tunnels, highways, and toll road systems. Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, Salik’s CEO, described joining IBTTA as a “major milestone” that enhances the company’s global footprint and opens doors for deeper collaboration with international toll operators. He highlighted Salik’s ambition to contribute actively within the association and expressed interest in hosting a future IBTTA Annual Meeting in Dubai, reinforcing the city’s image as a global smart mobility hub.
