Dubai Municipality has announced the launch of the region’s first integrated recreational vehicle route, setting out a new vision for outdoor travel in the emirate. The initiative introduces a connected and regulated RV tourism network designed to make Dubai’s natural landscapes more accessible while opening the door to new investment and leisure opportunities. The RV route will be developed as a single, easily accessible network of dedicated RV stations, serviced parks, and connected road trip experiences across Dubai. By linking the emirate’s mountains, beaches, and desert landscapes, the route allows visitors to move seamlessly between distinct natural environments through well-planned and well-serviced outdoor destinations. The experience is intended to combine adventure, nature, and cultural immersion, offering a structured yet flexible way to explore Dubai beyond traditional urban tourism.Dubai Municipality will take the lead in developing the core infrastructure and issuing a regulatory framework that governs how RV routes and dedicated parks are established and operated. This framework enables private-sector developers and operators to build, manage, and run RV facilities across the emirate, creating new investment opportunities and supporting the growth of a comprehensive RV tourism ecosystem. The initiative also reinforces Dubai’s focus on innovation, sustainability, and improving the quality of life for residents and visitors. The RV route and its associated parks are being designed as year-round, family-friendly destinations that cater to visitors of all ages and abilities. Facilities along the route will integrate hospitality, dining, wellness, and recreational offerings, with a strong emphasis on comfort, accessibility, and safety. The network is designed to encourage families to explore Dubai through connected road trips, strengthening shared outdoor experiences while promoting an environmentally responsible way to enjoy the emirate’s landscapes. To support industry growth, Dubai Municipality will introduce incentives, subsidies, and reduced land costs for developers and operators. The authority will also work with financial institutions to offer flexible payment solutions supporting RV ownership, rental models, and wider industry expansion. Through regional and international marketing campaigns and collaboration with tour operators and private-sector partners, Dubai aims to position itself as a gateway for RV tourism across the region, aligned with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
