‘Turkey doesn’t actually taste that good’: How JD Vance celebrated Thanksgiving — watch

US vice president JD Vance told troops in Kentucky on Wednesday that he plans to deep-fry a turkey this Thanksgiving because “it doesn’t actually taste that good”.Saying that Thanksgiving was “probably my favourite American holiday” and the “most uniquely American” one, Vance asked the crowd if they liked Thanksgiving turkey.

J.D. Vance’s Daughter Goes Viral After Adorable Thanksgiving Moment With Troops

“How many times do you roast an 18-pound turkey randomly?” he asked. “Nobody does it because turkey doesn’t actually taste that good.”He said he had spoken to a soldier who planned to deep-fry her turkey and decided he would try the same at home this year. The vice president, however, said that “If you’ve got to deep-fry something to make it taste good, it probably isn’t that good. That’s a pretty good rule of thumb.”He then compared it with chicken, saying it “tastes good all the time,” fried or not. Vance’s comment echoed last year’s viral moment from health secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, who posted a video on X showing how he cooks his turkey “the MAHA way.” MAHA is an acronym for “Make America Healthy Again,” which is a movement and health plan promoted by Kennedy. On Thursday morning, Vance wrote on X, “Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I’m grateful for all of you, for the people who keep us safe, for our incredible country, and most of all for the grace of God and my beautiful family! Don’t eat too much!”
