Trump hurls abuse and shows middle finger to Ford worker who shouted ‘pedophile protector’

President Donald Trump appeared to lash out at a worker who shouted pedophile protector during his visit to Ford Motor Company’s River Rouge complex in Dearborn, Michigan, on Tuesday, with video showing him seemingly responding with an expletive and the middle finger.Footage obtained by TMZ captured the moment as Trump toured the plant, pointing towards the person off camera before walking away and raising his middle finger. The visit took place hours before the president was due to speak at the Detroit Economic Club as part of his Michigan trip. While the man who shouted at Trump is not seen in the video, the insult is audible, though it is difficult to make out what else was said due to unclear audio. The outburst comes as Trump continues to face scrutiny over the handling of files linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in jail in 2019.Trump was criticised last year after pushing back for months against releasing the Epstein files, despite earlier suggesting during the campaign that they would be made public if he returned to office.A bipartisan group of lawmakers pushed legislation to compel the Justice Department to release its Epstein-related files, and the bill ultimately passed with overwhelming support, prompting Trump to reverse course and back the effort. Despite that shift, the Justice Department has missed multiple deadlines, including a requirement to release the files with limited redactions by mid-December and provide further details to Congress about the redaction process.Trump’s relationship with Epstein has remained part of the public debate, after he was photographed with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell multiple times in the 1990s and early 2000s.Trump has denied wrongdoing and has not been accused by any Epstein survivors.
