Senator Ted Cruz has stepped into a tense public moment with a short but clear message. After Erika Kirk agreed to meet podcaster Candace Owens in person for a discussion, Cruz said he hopes the meeting brings calm instead of more conflict. The Texas senator reacted on X on December 15, shortly after Erika Kirk shared that she was ready to talk directly with Owens.Quoting Erika Kirk’s post, Ted Cruz wrote, “I pray that peace, reason, and love will prevail.”His words came after weeks of heated exchanges between Erika Kirk and Candace Owens over claims made about the death of Charlie Kirk. This meeting matters because the situation has drawn wide attention online and in political circles. Candace Owens has shared several theories about Charlie Kirk’s murder, while Erika Kirk, his widow, has strongly denied those claims. Now, for the first time, both sides are preparing to sit down and talk.

Erika Kirk and Candace Owens agree to meet after weeks of public clash over Charlie Kirk’s death

The tension started after Erika Kirk asked Candace Owens to stop sharing what she called false and harmful theories about her husband’s death. Charlie Kirk was shot and killed in September while giving a talk at Utah Valley University. He died after being hit by a single bullet during the event.Since then, Candace Owens has spoken at length about the case on her podcast and on X. She claimed there could be a wider plot behind the killing. She pointed fingers at Israel and also suggested that people connected to Turning Point USA, the group founded by Charlie Kirk, may have been involved. Erika Kirk has denied all of these claims.Last week, the situation became more intense. In an interview with CBS editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, Erika Kirk was asked what she wanted to say to Candace Owens. Her reply was short and direct. She said, “Stop. That’s it. That’s all I have to say. Stop.”Candace Owens responded on her podcast and pushed back. She said she was willing to stop only if Erika explained what was untrue. Owens said, “So Erika would like me to stop lying, and I would like to honor that. Okay. I can only honor that if Erika is more explicit in terms of what I have lied about. What did I lie about?”Owens also criticized Bari Weiss and rejected claims that she used the case to grow her platform. She said, “What are you talking about? I already had this business. I was already at top of the chart.”Despite the sharp words, Erika Kirk later announced she was open to a direct conversation with Owens. That decision led to Ted Cruz’s public prayer for peace.Candace Owens has continued to question the official version of events. On December 14, she wrote on X that she does not believe Tyler Robinson acted alone. Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah native, was arrested in connection with the shooting. The case is still in court, and no verdict has been given.Erika Kirk, who is now the CEO of Turning Point USA, has repeated that all of Owens’ theories are false. Details about when and where the meeting will happen have not yet been shared. Also Read: “It’s About Me”: Candace Owens Fires Back Hard As Erika Kirk Asks The Public To End Charlie Kirk Conspiracy Stories
