Sri Lankan influencer arrested in Canada for creepy public filming of women; charged with harassment

Toronto police have arrested Mohamed Askar Mohamed-Razik (45), a Sri Lankan influencer, following multiple incidents of criminal harassment involving women and public figures in the city. The accused is known for recording himself approaching people in public in ways that made them uncomfortable multiple times across Canada.

  • The police allege that on June 8, 2025, a woman attending an event in the Dundas Street West and Dufferin Street area was filmed by Mohamed-Razik. When she asked him to stop, he became confrontational and continued to harass her. Security personnel asked him to leave, but he refused until police arrived.
  • Further incidents include an encounter on August 21, 2025, when the accused approached a TTC employee at Union Station, placing a phone very close to the employee’s face while filming and making harassing comments about their ethnicity.
  • On September 27, 2025, Mohamed-Razik reportedly filmed a woman standing in line at David Pecaut Square and continued filming after she asked him to stop, becoming increasingly confrontational.
  • Police also allege that on May 26, 2025, the accused approached a female police officer on duty at Yonge Street and Shuter Street, filming her and making comments about her appearance. He reportedly approached the same officer again on October 4, 2025, making similar comments.

On December 10, 2025, Toronto police arrested Mohamed Askar Mohamed-Razik and charged him with four counts of Criminal Harassment. He appeared in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street earlier this week. An image of the accused has been released by the police. Investigators have warned that the investigation is ongoing and believe there may be more victims.
