A stretch of unsettled weather is expected across Saudi Arabia as the National Centre for Meteorology signals rainfall in several regions over the final days of December, alongside a noticeable shift into winter conditions across much of the Kingdom. The National Centre for Meteorology has forecast rainfall from Wednesday, December 23, through Wednesday, December 31, based on outputs from the Saudi Numerical Model. The regions expected to see rainfall during this period include Makkah, Asir, Al-Baha, Jazan, Madinah, Riyadh, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, the Eastern Province, and the Northern Borders. The centre has not provided details on the intensity or classification of the expected rainfall in each region, indicating that conditions may differ depending on local weather developments throughout the forecast window. The rainfall outlook follows a noticeable and widespread drop in temperatures across large parts of Saudi Arabia, marking the beginning of the winter season. Colder conditions have been particularly evident in northern and central regions in recent days, where temperatures have fallen more sharply. In light of the evolving weather patterns, the National Centre for Meteorology has urged residents to remain attentive to official weather bulletins and updates. The centre cautioned that conditions could change and that weather systems may continue to develop during the forecast period, making regular monitoring important.
