Riyadh is once again set to become the world’s center for investment, innovation, and policymaking as it hosts the ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII), taking place from October 27 to 30, 2025. Under the theme “The Key to Prosperity: Unlocking New Frontiers of Growth,” the conference aims to unite global leaders, investors, and innovators to explore actionable solutions for sustainable development and inclusive prosperity.

A global convergence of leaders and innovators

FII9 is expected to attract over 8,000 participants, including 20 heads of state, more than 600 leading speakers, and 250 sessions designed to provoke insight and dialogue. The event has grown into a premier platform for addressing the most pressing global challenges, ranging from artificial intelligence and robotics to healthcare, education, and climate solutions. The conference revolves around three core pillars:

  • Think: Generating insight and exploring new ideas.
  • Xchange: Facilitating collaboration and partnerships across sectors.
  • Act: Translating ideas into concrete investment and policy actions.

Through these pillars, FII9 seeks to convert discussion into tangible outcomes, guiding strategies for long-term growth and sustainable global impact.

FII’s evolution and global significance

Since its launch in 2017, the Future Investment Initiative has earned the moniker “Davos in the Desert”, positioning Riyadh alongside the World Economic Forum in Davos as a hub for global economic discourse. Over the past eight editions, FII has not only convened leaders from business and government but has also fostered actionable investment strategies that prioritize both growth and social impact. FII9 continues this trajectory, building on a legacy of initiatives that have collectively generated over $200 billion in investment agreements in past conferences. This year, the institute anticipates deal signings exceeding $60 billion, spanning multiple sectors and driving initiatives aimed at improving quality of life and advancing global progress.

Strategic partnerships driving impact

The conference underscores the importance of collaboration with key partners. FII9 celebrates the continued support of its Founding Partner, the Public Investment Fund (PIF), alongside Vision Partners — the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA) and Saudi Aramco. This year, the institute also welcomes several new Strategic Partners, including: Arabian Dyar, Barclays, Brookfield, EFG Hermes, Guggenheim Investments, HUMAIN, MARA, Mizuho, MUFG, Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), SMBC Group, Soudah Development, and VCM.In addition:

  • The FII Ventures Program, designed to expand global innovation pipelines, partners with the Saudi National Technology Development Program (NTDP).
  • Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group joins as a Support Partner.
  • Altanfeethi serves as the Hospitality Partner.

FII Institute: Turning ideas into global impact

Beyond the annual conference, the FII Institute has evolved into a global nonprofit organization with an investment arm, dedicated to its mission: Impact on Humanity. The institute champions transformative projects in AI, robotics, sustainability, healthcare, and education, ensuring that breakthrough ideas translate into scalable, real-world solutions.FII’s ongoing work embodies a broader vision: fostering innovation and collaboration year-round, not just during the conference. By connecting global leaders with resources and partnerships, the institute ensures that ideas conceived at FII9 produce measurable outcomes and contribute to the long-term transformation of societies worldwide.
