A new service launched by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah now allows citizens and residents across the Kingdom to order and receive blessed Zamzam water directly at their homes, through a streamlined feature on the Nusuk app. The initiative removes previous restrictions and is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the app’s utility for religious services.

Home delivery of Zamzam water launched nationwide

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced a new feature on its official Nusuk app that enables users to order 330-millilitre bottles of Zamzam water for delivery anywhere within Saudi Arabia. This initiative marks a significant shift in accessibility, offering a practical solution for residents and citizens seeking to receive Zamzam water without the need to visit physical distribution points.

  • No limits on quantity or frequency: Users can place multiple orders without restrictions on the number of bottles or frequency of orders.
  • Nationwide coverage: The service is available in all cities and regions across the Kingdom.
  • Simplified process: Orders can be made through a few simple steps on the Nusuk app.

This development offers convenience particularly for those who may face difficulties accessing physical Zamzam water distribution centers.

Smaller bottles for greater convenience

Traditionally available in larger containers, Zamzam water will now be distributed in 330 ml bottles. Saudi authorities clarified that this move was made to enhance portability and ease of handling, especially for everyday use. The smaller format enables individuals to carry the water more conveniently while preserving its sanctity and religious significance. Zamzam water, drawn from the sacred well located within the Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, holds deep religious importance for Muslims worldwide. The option to order it in manageable quantities directly to one’s home marks a user-centric shift in how religious resources are distributed.

Nusuk App’s expanding role in religious services

This new service is part of broader developments aimed at transforming the Nusuk app into a comprehensive religious platform. Initially designed to facilitate Umrah bookings, the app has steadily expanded its offerings to include:

  • Umrah visa issuance
  • Accommodation booking
  • Religious itinerary planning
  • Information on rituals and guidelines

With the addition of Zamzam water home delivery, the app strengthens its role as a central digital hub for religious engagement, not only for international pilgrims but also for residents within the Kingdom.

Ministerial endorsement and vision

The Zamzam water delivery initiative was formally launched by Dr Tawfig Al-Rabiah, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, who has been instrumental in overseeing digital transformations within the sector. His announcement reflects the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to innovation and accessibility in religious services, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s broader goals of digital integration and enhanced user experience in public services.By removing logistical barriers and integrating this sacred offering into the Nusuk ecosystem, the Ministry aims to make spiritual practices more accessible and seamless for millions of Muslims living in the Kingdom.
