An independent autopsy into the death of Renee Nicole Good, the 37-year-old woman shot by federal immigration agent Jonathan Ross in Minneapolis, has found she was struck by three bullets. The findings were released on Wednesday, two weeks after Good was killed during an ICE operation in south Minneapolis.According to the report, Good sustained three gunshot wounds. One bullet struck her left forearm, another passed through her right breast, and a third entered the left side of her head near the temple before exiting on the opposite side. The firm said the findings were consistent with what first responders reported at the scene.Federal authorities have said that Good was shot by the ICE agent in ‘self-defence’ as she was trying to run him over with her car. Her family and several witnesses who were present as bystanders at the scene have disputed this claim.Good was a mother of three and had moved to Minneapolis last year. Minneapolis local leaders and family members have said she was present as a legal observer, a volunteer role that involves monitoring law enforcement activity. The Trump administration described her as a “domestic terrorist”. Her death led to nationwide protests and the demand that ICE leaves Blue states. The GOP government has a hardline policy of deploying the National Guard and ICE agents so as to limit criminal activities and deport illegal aliens. Good was a prize-winning poet and won an undergraduate award from the Academy of American Poets in 2020. She was married to Rebecca Good, with whom she was raising a six-year-old son.The murder was recorded from several angles, and the videos went viral on social media with people interpreting and judging the ordeal differently. Most of those in the MAGA movement defended the ICE agent and even started a fundraiser for him, which has crossed $1 million. Democrats and progressives called the incident a state-sponsored execution.
