QTCinderella, the creator and host of the annual Streamer Awards, is already looking ahead to 2026, and she’s making it clear that the event will undergo a major transformation. Following a year filled with controversy, backlash, and intense internet debate surrounding the 2025 edition, QT has promised a “very hard pivot” for next year’s show. She acknowledged the valid criticisms, noting that while putting on the awards is a massive undertaking, she is more motivated than ever to deliver something that lives up to community expectations and celebrates creators the way they deserve. The 2025 Streamer Awards faced heavy scrutiny from viewers online, with complaints ranging from segment execution and humor to concerns over category fairness, especially surrounding VTuber results. India Love’s appearance also sparked heated debate, and beyond typical criticism, QT received personal harassment that left her emotional during post-event streams. Despite the rough reception, she says the experience has only pushed her to learn, adapt and rebuild. In her recent December 8 stream, she promised next year’s show will be “a movie,” aiming for a much more polished and universally enjoyable experience.

QTCinderella commits to new direction for Streamer Awards after criticism

QT hinted that one of the biggest changes will be shifting the tone and structure of the show. She acknowledged that certain jokes and inside references, like bits about bans and behind-the-scenes drama, didn’t translate well to the larger audience watching at home. The host suggested the program will find a better balance between live crowd energy and viewer engagement, ensuring segments feel meaningful and entertaining to everyone, not just industry insiders. She also wants to deliver stronger pacing, more rewarding category moments, and a format that avoids niche or confusing humor. The takeaway from fans was clear: they love the event, but they want the production value and tone to match its growing scale. QT says she’s heard those messages loud and clear.QTCinderella’s transparency and willingness to pivot could reshape the future of fan-voted award shows in the streaming world. With big promises comes big pressure, but she’s determined to impress those who were disappointed this year. And if all goes as planned, the 2026 Streamer Awards could be her biggest comeback yet. Also Read: Twitch Streamer Tekashi 6ix9ine hit with strict supervised release after prison sentence
