Twitch streamer Maxwell “Plaqueboymax” has spoken out in support of Tylil James after a tense moment at The Streamer Awards 2025. The incident happened during a live interview segment hosted by Fiona “Fanfan.” She made jokes about Kai Cenat, including a remark that many felt crossed the line. James, who is a close friend of Kai, strongly reacted on the spot.During a livestream, Plaqueboymax defended James’ reaction and explained why it was justified. He claimed that Fanfan’s joke compared Kai Cenat to Sean “Diddy” Combs, which he felt was deeply disrespectful. While supporting James, Plaqueboymax also asked viewers not to send hate toward Fanfan. The controversy has now sparked debate across the streaming community.

Plaqueboymax believes Fanfan’s jokes “weren’t landing” during the Streamer Awards 2025

At the Streamer Awards 2025, Fanfan was interviewing creators at the annual event, which was hosted by Blaire “QTCinderella.” During her interaction with Kai Cenat, she joked about his Streamer University project and his Mafiathon 3 subathon. She also appeared to compare his appearance to Sean “Diddy” Combs. This did not sit well with Tylil James, who was standing nearby. James immediately called her out in a loud and angry manner. He said, “If you are going to be on the mic, turn this s**t on! Turn this s**t on! If you are going to be on the mic making jokes, at least let it be funny! If you are going to be on the mic making jokes, at least let it be funny! Have a good night!”Later, Plaqueboymax addressed the moment on his livestream. He clearly backed Tylil James’ actions. The streamer said, “I’m not going to lie. You feel me, Fanfan? I get it, I know you’re doing a comedy roast. That’s part of award shows. But, damn, bro! Comparing bro to the Diddler live? Like, damn! To the Diddler live, saying his university has no education. Damn! Damn! Like, you feel me? Yo, in my personal opinion, I think Tylil is a real a** n****. In my personal opinion. I don’t give a f**k! You feel me? He felt his bro was getting disrespected, he stood for the n****. You feel me?”Plaqueboymax also shared that Fanfan’s jokes were simply not working with the crowd. He also urged his viewers to not attack her online. “Don’t run no hate train on Fanfan. Like, I mean, she just… I’m sure she has no hate in her heart for Kai. She’s just over here trying to do her… that’s what the interviewers do at the award shows. They do joke st. That st wasn’t landing, though. Shoutout to Fanfan, though. Shoutout, Fanfan”, Plaqueboymax added. He ended his comments by once again praising Tylil’s loyalty to his friend. As of now, Fanfan has not released any public statement about the joke or the backlash. Also Read: Plaqueboymax blasts disrespectful fans, defends woman he “cared about” during emotional livestream amid Keenyah Hill controversy
