The controversy comes from a clip posted on X on July 19 by user @Awk20000. In the video, Lacy can be seen on the ground after Josh “YourRAGE” moved him out of his wheelchair during the event.A few moments later, PayBae walked over and grabbed Lacy’s left leg. He instantly reacted and told her to stop, saying it hurt. That’s when things started getting tense between the two. As they continued talking, Lacy questioned why anyone would pull his leg when he was clearly injured.“What do you mean? To pull my leg when I’m screaming, ‘Stop, it hurts’? This is not a big enough indicator that I have a leg injury?!”From Lacy’s side, he couldn’t understand why his injury wasn’t obvious enough for people to leave his leg alone.
PayBae apologized but felt people kept dragging the situation
PayBae didn’t deny what happened. During the conversation, she apologized and admitted that she made herself “look bad.” She also said she was taking accountability for pulling Lacy’s leg.But she also had a problem with how everything was playing out afterward. According to PayBae, the situation would have seemed and looked much more worse if Lacy kept talking about it in front of his audienc.“I made myself look bad. You’re right. I’m apologizing now, and I am taking accountability.”She also claimed that Lacy’s community was coming after her because of the incident. The argument didn’t end there either. PayBae accused Lacy of being disrespectful toward her and even called out what she described as “gaslighting” and “manipulation” during their exchange.
PayBae says there was already a “fake beef” between them
Later during her own IRL stream, PayBae spoke about the incident again and tried to explain why she didn’t see it the same way everyone else did.She claimed Lacy had “talked to her really crazy” before all this happened and said they already had an ongoing “fake beef.” From her point of view, she was simply talking back because that’s how things had been between them.“They make it seem like I did real bad… I don’t think I did real bad because he talked to me really crazy.”She also insisted that she wasn’t trying to become the person everyone blamed and finished by saying she “really didn’t do nothing.” As of now, those comments remain her most detailed public explanation of what happened at Streamer University.
