Nikki Haley’s son urges Netanyahu to attend Christian Mass in US: ‘All our politicians visit the Wall in Israel’

Nalin Haley, the son of former US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, posted online and urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to attend a Christian Mass while visiting the United States. In a post on X, the 24-year-old MAGA loudmouth said: “If you really want to show solidarity with the United States and the Christian community, you should attend Mass while in America. It’s the least you could do since all our politicians visit the wall while in Israel. Mass is open to everyone, consider it. Christ is King.” Haley was responding to an announcement by Netanyahu confirming a meeting with US secretary of state Marco Rubio in Florida. Nalin said that American leaders throughout history have a long-standing tradition of visiting Jerusalem’s Western Wall during trips to Israel.Nalin is an Indian-origin who is a staunch opposer of H1-B visas and immigration, both legal and illegal. Haley’s grandparents were SIkh, and his parents were protestant Christians. In an interview in November, he said he had done extensive research into religion and faith and concluded that he was Catholic. “I needed to research my own faith better in terms of the history, the early beliefs, the Church Fathers,” he said. “When I did that, I felt as though anyone who does that kind of research will walk away a Catholic.”The phrase “Christ is King” at the end of Haley’s post is another phrase used by evangelical Americans like the slain right-wing commentator Charlie Kirk. It is a core Christian belief, but it has also been used by some extremist groups to show hostility towards Jews.Haley has also aligned himself with hardline conservative views, even calling for the deportation of “illegal aliens”, despite coming from an immigrant family.Regarding religion, JD Vance also stirred a row recently when he declared that America is a Christian nation and will always be a Christian nation. He made the remarks during a TurningPoint USA event earlier this month. To a largely MAGA audience, Vance said that there is no need for people to apologize for “being White.” The vice president’s comments were called hypocritical, like Nalin’s, as Vance is married to a brown, Hindu, Indian wife, Usha, and his own GOP base questions whether he should openly propagate a single religion when he himself is married to a person of another faith.
