Nikki Haley’s son calls Vivek Ramaswamy’s lessons from Zohran Mamdani’s winning cringe

Nikki Haley's son calls Vivek Ramaswamy's lessons from Zohran Mamdani's winning 'cringe'

Nikki Haley’s son Nalin Haley clashes with Vivek Ramaswamy, calls his takeaways from GOP poll defeats cringe.

At a time when Republican commentators are reflecting on whether the defeat in New York, New Jersey and Virginia was a result of the rise of hate comments targeting immigrants, especially Indians, Nikki Haley’s son Nalin Haley chose to target Indian-origin Vivek Ramaswamy and his takeaway from the three election defeats. “We got our a**es handed to us. In New Jersey, Virginia and New York City. Democrats swept all three. There are two key lessons for Republicans. Listen carefully,” Ramaswamy said in his takeaway video. “Number one: our side needs to focus on affordability. Make the American Dream affordable. Bring down costs, electric costs, grocery costs, healthcare costs and housing costs. And lay out how we’re gonna do it,” Ramaswamy said without naming New York’s Zohran Mamdani or any other candidates.

End identity politics

“And number two, cut out the identity politics. It doesn’t suit Republicans. It’s not for us. That’s the woke Left’s game, not ours. We don’t care about the color of your skin or your religion. We care about the content of your character. That’s what who we are,” the GOP leader said. Ramaswamy urged to end identity politics earlier, also when he was trolled for his Halloween celebration photo or when MAGA imploded over Second Lady Usha Vance’s religion. Many commentators agreed with Ramaswamy and said that he hit the nail on the head and it took three defeats for MAGA to not leave a comment on Ramaswamy’s skin color under the video; not everyone was on board. Nalin Haley, son of former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, who has emerged as a vocal MAGA commentator, chose to contradict with Ramaswamy and called his talking points outdated and cringeworthy. Nalin said the GOP can’t do away with identity politics as the Republican Party cares about religion and Christians have every right to want to be represented by another Christian. “Wrong again. We care about religion and Christians have every right to want to be represented by another Christian. The 2010’s talking points are so cringe bro,” Nikki Haley’s son wrote.
