YouTuber MrBeast came back into the news after old police records showed that he once faced a reckless driving citation in 2023. According to The U.S. Sun, police said he drove 99 mph in a 70 mph zone in North Carolina. This type of citation is a Class 2 misdemeanor, which can bring jail time, a record, and fines up to $1,000. The U.S. Sun said he had to bring a lawyer for this case. He also got a citation for tinted windows, since the law requires at least 35% light to pass through them. This case came almost five years after his 2018 arrest for speeding and racing. In both the 2018 and 2023 cases, the charges were later reduced, and he only had to pay simple speeding fines. These police files show how both cases followed a similar pattern and how he faced sharp action before the charges were lowered.

Police action and reduced charges against James Stephen Donaldson

In January 2018, police in Tarboro, North Carolina, stopped MrBeast and another driver after they were seen driving at 122 mph in a 70 mph zone. The Tar River Times said he was arrested and held on a $100,000 bond, and his mugshot was later shared by many news outlets. Fans believed he was in a BMW i8 because he had posted and deleted a video of the same car earlier. The Tar River Times also said the stop took place around 2:30 am. His friend, who was in the passenger seat, had an open alcohol bottle. Police said the friend first refused to give his name and was arrested for giving the police false information. Officers checked the car and found a loaded 9mm gun and extra bullets. Both the 2018 and 2023 cases started with strong charges like racing and reckless driving, but they later turned into simple speeding fines.MrBeast first faced a 2023 reckless driving citation that was later lowered to a simple fine, as reported by The U.S. Sun. His 2018 arrest was harsher, with a gun and alcohol found, but those charges were also reduced to a speeding fine. Also Read: Candace Owens Lists 10 TPUSA Verifiable Lies And Raises Big Questions About Charlie Kirk’s Assassination Story
