More controversies, more streams: Alexis Wilkins sees surge in listeners whenever Kash Patel is in news

A Rollin Stone report has claimed that there is a perk of being the girlfriend of the FBI chief that no one is talking about and that is the increase in streams that Kash Patel’s girlfriend Alexis Wilkins experiences every time Patel hit the headlines. Overall, there has been a 48 per cent increase in streaming of Alexis Wilkins this year after Patel became the FBI chief, the report claims citing data by Luminate. The report claimed that 27-year-old Alexis is little known because of her music, but she has been presented as the country music sensation by Patel that gave a boost to her streaming. And the boost coincided every time the FBI director found himself at the center of any controversy — and there has been plenty.

Kash Patel Accused of Turning FBI Security Detail Into His Girlfriend’s Party Drivers | WATCH

Wilkins wears many hats and musician is just one of them. Rolling Stone traced the musical journey of Kash Patel’s girlfriend and said that she has been making music for more than a decade, enjoying a small fan base in Nashville through gigs. After graduating from rom Belmont University in 2020, where she studied business and political science, Wilkins became more active in right-wing politics.Wilkins also became a contributor to PragerU because of which she is often hurled with conspiracy theory that she is an ‘Israeli honeypot’ as PragerU CEO served in the Israeli Army. In 2023, Wilkins turned towards political commentary and music apparently took a backseat. She also became a spokesperson for American Border Story. But now her music career has been revived as she has been streamed double than last year because of her association with Patel. While Kash Patel has emerged as one of the most controversial figures in the Trump administration, Alexis too faces criticism as the FBI director is accused of ‘bending rules’ to protect his girlfriend. “Wilkins hovers between 4,500 and 7,000 weekly listeners, or a median of 6,300 streams each week, according to Luminate. But after a beaming Wilkins stood beside Patel at his swearing-in ceremony in February, that number skyrocketed to 105,300 streams, dovetailing to 17,400 and 10,600 streams in the following two weeks,” the report said.
