‘Is it still America or Israel first’: Iran’s Ali Larijani accuses Trump of dragging US in ‘unfair war’

'Is it still America or Israel first': Iran's Ali Larijani accuses Trump of dragging US in 'unfair war'

Iran’s top security official, Ali Larijani, accused US President Donald Trump of dragging Americans into what he called an “unfair war” with Iran, declaring that Tehran would not negotiate with Washington amid the escalating conflict.Larijani, who heads Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, made the remarks after a weekend of intense US-Israeli strikes on Iranian targets. The confrontation has sharply escalated tensions across the region. In the same post, Larijani warned that Iran would retaliate following the reported killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, vowing that his death would “exact a heavy price.””Mr. Trump, with Netanyahu’s clownish antics, dragged the American people into an unfair war with Iran.

Now let him do the math: with over 500 American troops killed (in these past few days), is it still “America First,” or “Israel First”? The saga continues. The martyrdom of Imam Khamenei will exact a heavy price from you. God willing,” he said in a post on X. The latest exchange comes after US and Israeli forces launched a wave of strikes on Iranian facilities, intensifying hostilities that followed stalled nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington. Larijani accused Trump of destabilising West Asia, saying the US president’s actions had plunged the region into chaos while putting American troops at risk. The conflict has since widened. Iran launched fresh strikes targeting Israel and US military bases in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Tehran has also blocked the strategic Strait of Hormuz, sending global oil prices soaring. The US military has confirmed six American personnel have been killed so far. Iran’s Red Crescent Society says at least 787 people have died in US-Israeli strikes, while Israeli reports put the death toll there at 11.
