Indian woman reported missing since New Year's Eve in Columbia; NRI communities seek help

Nikitha Godishala, an Indian woman, has been reported missing since New Year’s Eve, social media posts from NRI communities seeking help to locate the woman claimed. She was last seen in Columbia, MD area where she lives. No other details about the woman has been released by her friends, apart from a photo. A police report has already been filed but her friends appealed for more eyes o the ground. “We are reaching out to the Columbia, MD community for help. My cousin’s colleague’s daughter, Nikitha Godishala, has been missing since New Year’s Eve (Dec 31),” the online appeal read. “Her friends have already filed a police report, but we need more eyes on the ground. If you live in or around the Columbia area, please keep a lookout. If you have any information, no matter how small, please contact Howard County Police Department,” the post said. An update to the post confirmed that Nikitha was still missing. “She lives in the Columbia, MD area and has been missing since New Year’s Day. Her family is in contact with me and is deeply concerned,” one Prakash Saraf wrote on Facebook.”Nikitha does not have family in the United States, and her friends are desperately trying to locate her and gather any information that may help bring her home safely. This has been an incredibly difficult time and we are relying on the strength and support of our community,” another post read.
