Another 1,664 were assisted with travel reservations, and 12,920 illegal residents have already been deported.Attempts to cross the border illegally remain a major source of concern: 1,786 individuals were apprehended at entry points, 42% were Yemeni nationals, 57% Ethiopian, with the remainder from other countries. Saudi authorities are targeting not only violators but also those who facilitate illegal residence. In the past week, 18 people were arrested for providing transportation, shelter, or employment. The Ministry of Interior warned that anyone aiding illegal residents faces up to 15 years in prison, SR1 million in fines, and confiscation of vehicles or properties used in the violations.Currently, 25,921 expatriates, including 23,419 men and 2,502 women are undergoing procedures to enforce residency and labour regulations. The Ministry of Interior called upon citizens and residents to report illegal residency cases. Hotlines are available: 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province; 999 and 996 elsewhere. The aim is to further tighten security and ensure that residency and border laws are observed nationwide.
