Thomas “Sykkuno” has returned to Twitch after spending nearly two months away from streaming, and this time he spoke directly about the cheating controversy that put him at the center of online discussion. During his June 3, 2026 livestream titled “IM BACK,” the popular creator addressed viewers just minutes into the broadcast and shared an update on both his personal life and relationship. The streamer, whose real name is Thomas, said he had used his time away from the internet to focus on himself and repair the damage caused by his actions. He openly admitted that he hurt his girlfriend and said he deeply regretted what happened. Sykkuno explained that the past few weeks had been difficult but important as he worked to improve himself and rebuild trust in his relationship. At around the six-minute mark of the stream, Sykkuno told viewers:“I’m pretty nervous, as you can guess. All right. Well, as most of you guys know, I’ve been gone for a bit, and while I’ve been gone, I was working on myself and repairing the damage I’ve done to my girlfriend and our relationship. What I did to her was horrible, and for a lot of people, they could never forgive that. I regret doing it so much, and the time I’ve been gone, I’ve been working every single day to try and make things better.”

Sykkuno says he and his girlfriend are happy together after working through the cheating controversy

As the conversation continued, Sykkuno shared a positive update about where things currently stand. While making it clear that everything is not perfect, he said both of them have made progress and are moving forward together. He said:“It hasn’t been easy, but I’m glad to share that not everything is perfect, but made a lot of improvements. I can confidently say… we can confidently say that we’re doing a lot better. We’re in a position where we can be happy together, and we’re headed in a good direction.”Sykkuno also reflected on how the controversy changed him. According to the streamer, the experience helped him grow and gave him a different perspective on life. He thanked fans who continued to support him during his absence and also expressed gratitude to his close friends.“With everything that happened, a lot has changed, and I think I’ve grown a lot from it in so many ways. And I’d say that’s most of the update I’ve got. It’s going a lot better, and I wouldn’t come back if it wasn’t that way. So, I do want to thank you guys for showing up, and sorry I’ve been gone for so long. But, yeah, thank you, guys, is all I can say. And also, of course, thank you to all my friends who, you know, are still supporting me. I don’t know if I would’ve done quite as well if I didn’t have such supportive friends, who really want the best for me.”The controversy began in April 2026 when female creators, including Hemomal, accused Sykkuno of cheating and manipulation. The situation remained a major topic online for weeks. Later, on May 1, 2026, Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang also drew attention when he criticized some members of Sykkuno’s fanbase, calling them “toxic” while saying many people already knew Thomas was playing a “shy anime boy” persona.
